Bass Haven's Ameneties
Ramp, Floats and Storage
The well-maintained boat ramp provides easy launching and retrieval (though it is a bit tide dependent). Floats make boarding convenient.
The floats sit on the river near the clubhouse. Fresh water and electricity are available. There is room on the floats for 40 tenders, which are accessible during most tides (but not dead low). Boat storage is determined by the board (and largely the yard master). Currently, there are about 150 vessels stored at the club (both on trailers or on blocks). |
Waterfront Clubhouse
The roughly 1000' sq. ft. clubhouse sits in the middle of the yard with views of the club floats and patio. Some amenities: Wi-Fi, Television, VHF radio, club message board, vending machines, ice, kitchen, restrooms, books, games and a meeting space that is used for monthly board meetings.
The front and back door are both accessed by a keypad. The waterfront patio area has comfortable seating, picnic tables, grills and an outdoor sink area. |
The Bass River
Bass Haven Yacht Club has called Beverly's Bass River home for over a century. With easy access to the Danvers River and Beverly Harbor, the tidal, brackish inlet is an excellent place to launch and retrieve vessels. The Yacht Club's mooring field is occupied by roughly two dozen boats.
The Hall-Whitaker Bridge, which sits between Bass Haven and the Danvers River was closed/designated for replacement in June of 2022. There is adequate clearance for most small powerboats, but the bridge no longer opens for sailboats or larger vessels in need of more clearance. The club can work with you to achieve passage if your boat can not navigate the ridge in it's current state. Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates we may receive on the state of the HW Bridge. |
